The trail to the top - snow and cloud/fog

June, 1989, I was in Tokyo on business and decided to climb Mt. Fuji. Cathy and I took a train to Kawagujiko (or something like that) and a bus to the 5th level, or trailhead. It's actually a pretty popular tourist spot during the season. Cathy waited while I climbed.

Thousands of people climb Mt. Fuji every year, but almost all wait until the snow melts and the "climbing season" opens. I was lucky enough to be a few weeks early. When I was on top, I saw a group of people on the opposite side of the cone, headed down the mountains. Then I was alone on top of Mt. Fuji.
