Telescope Peak, Death Valley, California

The summit. Telescope Peak is the highest mountain on a range just west of Death Valley, still within the national park. You can go from below sea level to 11,000 feet in just a few miles!

Across Death Valley you can see Dante's View, more than a mile higher than the valley. Mike and I hiked out of the valley up to Dante's view once. Almost froze in the snow!
